I sold my apartment in London earlier this month and as a lawyer for that, Eaman Alhemyari did a fantastic job. He was hardworking, cooperative and attentive to my needs. During his training, he met all the legal requirements and I can only warmly recommend him. If you choose our team of legal experts, you can benefit from it: I would recommend Ackroyd Legal to anyone I know who needs the service offered there. A big thank you to my lovely lawyer SUE CHANA for the service she provided to my son and I.Sue was always there to inform and update us, very helpful staff and she provided a very good service for me and my family which I am very happy and with great pleasure, Ackroyd legally recommended to anyone I know in need. Sue continues the good work, you are a brilliant staff who know her work, weldone and thank you for the service you have provided to Marvin and me. Marie If you want a business for the transfer of Ackroyd Legal is the right thing to do. From my personal experience, they have provided me with an amazing and efficient service and I couldn`t thank them enough. My lawyer was hired and kept me informed throughout the process. I would recommend 100% thank you for the work of the team in Ackroyd Legal`s London office.
I bought my property through Ackroyd and found my lawyer too helpful. I would not hesitate to seek their legal advice. I went with Ackroyd Legal for my apartment purchase and it was an absolute disaster. From the beginning, I basically received 0 contacts after paying the initial fee, after which it seemed like nothing would move/be resolved until I called dozens of times. Emails are useless because 99% of them remain unanswered, the promised reminders will never materialize. It got to the point that the seller threatened to pull out of the sale if things didn`t continue. I finally finished the purchase and thought it would be the end. Unfortunately, a year and a half later, despite dozens of emails and phone calls to Ackroyd Legal, the management company still has not received the documents at the end, which means that I am not able to manage the fees of the management company / service that put me in legal and financial danger; In addition, Ackroyd Legal ignored the land registry`s notices regarding the transfer request. and the land registry now says it will withdraw the application unless Ackroyd Legal responds. I would legally recommend to anyone and advise everyone to look elsewhere. Four years ago we started with four initial employees known as the `Original 4` and have grown to over 150 lawyers and lawyers across the UK and overseas covering a wide range of legal services. We are consistently recognized for the level of service we provide to our customers and go above and beyond to ensure we get the best results for each case.
We wanted to sell and buy a home at the end of 2021 and found Ackroyd Legal online. I admit I was a little concerned about some of the reviews I read about them, but the price was good and mistakenly believed that it wasn`t too important who was « negotiating » the move. That was my biggest mistake. The whole process was a faff from start to finish, causing them to « forget », to pay off our old mortgage and also forget to register our property in the land registry (among many other shortcomings) I am not in the denunciation and shame, but our case manager, Chirag Chopra, was at best inexperienced and at worst intentionally obstructive. He did not respond to emails and inquiries from me and intermediaries from buyers of our home. In the end, developers for buyers and real estate agents guided everything through me to make sure this was followed. It was anything but a smooth and easy process. To be fair, Chirag fell under the direction of a lawyer Peter Benjamin, who was literally in action on everyone and all the missing communications. If he led by example, I`m not surprised that Chirag was so poor. After we went through approx. 4 months of absolutely shabby mediation had dragged on, we moved into the house.
At the time, I had filed a number of complaints with Ackroyd Legal, including the non-existent complaints department, the CEO, the accounting team, and the lawyer. None of them were prosecuted. After moving in, we found that Ackroyd Legal had not paid off the old mortgage in full! So we spent another series of stressful days getting them to settle this payment!! I filed a complaint with the Ombudsman for the Act because I felt it was my duty to inform them of stirling Ackroyd`s many substandard practices, in the hope of drawing a line under everything. Unfortunately, this should not be the case. Until April 2022, 5 months after moving into our home, we wanted to have the insulation installed through the state`s hot house program. To do this, we had to provide our proof of land registry. It turns out that Sterling Ackroyd Legal didn`t bother to register our property. So we get back in touch with them and they slowly start the process.
We almost lose the opportunity to do the work because it takes so long. Chirag finally gets the registration and then we get a fine from the land registry because « we » aka our lower lawyers took more than 4 months to register. So begins another series of emails with Chirag at Ackroyd Legal and fortunately, they get the fine sorted at their expense. The saga of selling and buying with Stirling Ackroyd Legal has been a terrible experience. I don`t think only Peter and Chirag were responsible, but the whole company. They were neither present nor communicative and were not conducive to making it pleasant or smooth. In fact, they put the whole affair at risk!! Use these guys at your own risk. The sales pitch was good, but as soon as you signed with them, things deteriorated for us. Pay a little more and check the reviews and go with someone else. Avoid at least the people mentioned. Stirling Ackroyd Legal is a trademark of the Stirling Ackroyd Group.
The group filed a lawsuit against a third party (now called Ackroyd Legal, as well as a person associated with that company) and complained that it was using this trademark without consent. This action resulted in a settlement agreement in relation to a High Court order dated 5 January 2021. Ackroyd Legal violated parts of this settlement agreement, and the group was forced to obtain another High Court order dated May 6, 2022, forcing Ackroyd Legal to comply with these conditions. Ackroyd Legal no longer uses the Stirling Ackroyd Legal trademark. So far, there has been a clear introduction and direction of what is needed to process the purchase. Hopefully, this will help shorten the time it takes to complete the purchase, as we need to complete it within 28 days. Our diversity makes us a better law firm. We are committed to creating an environment where everyone, regardless of their origin, identity and circumstances, is able to progress and reach their full potential. Our branch teams are at your disposal to carry out inspections and are always at your disposal to assist you in your negotiations.
