Please note that all of the following requirements must be met for the degree to be awarded: California residents are eligible to attend a community college by paying the community college registration fee. Non-residents must pay the registration fee plus tuition for non-residents plus capital fees per unit. The current fee schedule can be found at: accounting.santarosa.edu/student-fees-and-refund-deadline-dates California state law requires any student enrolled in a California community college or applying for admission to a California community college to provide information and evidence to determine their residential classification for study purposes. The following guidelines will help you determine if you are a California resident to attend a California community college. Residence status for study at a CA community college is not transferred to a UHC or CU. The CSU or UC will determine your residency status based on their requirements at the time of application. For more information, please contact the UHC or UC you wish to attend. Majors are designed to provide the student with a foundation for transfer to a 4-year institution, training for a professional field, or sufficient depth in an area of knowledge to contribute to a lifelong interest. Transfer requirements differ between 4-year institutions, so students who wish to transfer should work with an advisor to plan their lower department, transfer preparation, and work.
If we do not offer a major in a particular field of study, a student may still be able to prepare for the transfer by taking the appropriate courses from the lower league. Please discuss such preparation, as well as any questions regarding an approved major, with an advisor. This suspension will apply until the fall semester of 2022 and will remain in effect as long as the state of emergency is in force. Students can choose the Pass/No Pass option for any course that allows it and will not be penalized by completion or certificate requirements. It is possible for a student to receive more than one major after graduation, provided that all the requirements of each major are met. For several majors, a single degree is issued with all majors listed. If a major leads to a different type of degree (e.g., Associate of Arts versus Associate of Science), two degrees are awarded. Students pursuing an associate`s degree after earning an associate`s degree from another regionally accredited community college may receive an additional associate`s degree if they have completed: The main programs are listed in this catalog; The most up-to-date list of majors can be found on the SRJC website under curriculum.santarosa.edu/all-majors. These three options are: A student must meet all of the following degree requirements to earn an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree: To qualify as a resident, the student must meet the following requirements: Yes.
Many of our courses allow students to receive a letter grade or pass/fail grade. Students currently enrolled in courses that allow both options can upgrade to Pass/No Pass through the Student Portal until the end of the Spring 2022 semester and Fall 2022. It is highly recommended that students speak to an advisor before deciding whether or not to pass, as this is not necessarily the best option for all students and could impair academic progress and/or transfer ability. If you have any questions about Pass/No Pass, please contact Debbie Riedmuller at Admissions and Records at driedmuller@santarosa.edu. Please visit the Transfer Centre website for up-to-date information. The above requirements must be met by the end of a spring semester if you transfer to the fall. Please also note that a higher GPA is generally required for majors considered affected or in high demand – please consult a consultant for more specific information.
